On December 3-4, 2024, the BloombergNEF (BNEF) Summit was held in Shanghai. Dr. Li Shuli, Director of Great Power Energy Storage and Power Battery Research Institute, was invited to the summit. She engaged with industry leaders on critical energy issues and introduced the company’s latest battery solutions for the low-altitude economy.
During the air mobility session, Dr. Li Shuli engaged with attendees in an in-depth discussion on the application of new battery technologies in eVTOLs and light aircraft.
Battery-powered aircraft offer more than 80% savings in operational costs compared to traditional fuel-powered models, along with reduced engine wear and environmental benefits, such as zero emissions and quieter operation.
Dr. Li also introduced the key to commercializing low-altitude aircraft batteries is advancing battery technology and new materials. Great Power has successfully developed high energy density drone batteries. The company is already delivering products for leading drone manufacturers. The company’s aircraft batteries are known for their exceptionally low failure rates, high safety, and high-power output.
Dr. Li believed that solid-state batteries, with their superior safety and energy density, will become a new power for the low-altitude economy. Once power density is further optimized and costs are reduced, solid-state batteries will play a crucial role in the future development of low-altitude economy.
Great Power, with 23 years of expertise in battery, operates 10 major production bases and 9 overseas offices globally. Recently, the company successfully launched its new factory in Vietnam.
Looking ahead, Great Power will continue to collaborate with industry partners to promote the development of the low-altitude economy, ensuring that more people can access safe, stable, and clean energy.
